Wedding Inspiration

Being a wedding photographer gets quite hectic, so any time that I have to collaborate with my amazing friends who are also within the industry is a great joy!
In April, myself, Ms Moo Make-up, Lucille's Locks and Booboo Kitty Couture got together to photograph a stylised wedding shoot along with some work by the wonderful GGs Pinup Couture. We had some amazing plans including woodland and Aislinn's horse but, unfortunately, the weather was not on our side so we had to abandon the location in favur of shooting in the studio.
Even though we didn't manage to carry out our full vision, I think we got some great images to show off our collective talents and why we always recommend each other to clients. We call ourselves the "Dream Team" because we not only work well together but our seperate businesses all come together to create a beautiful outcome.

VEA Designs

Last year, I had the pleasure of working with a number of small businesses to put together an amazing photoshoot at Langar Hall in Nottinghamshire.
The photoshoot was for VEA designs, Vicky makes amazing hats, fascinators and head pieces for events and weddings with a country life feel to them. We spent a lot of time on Pinterest putting together inspiration for the shoot, making sure we were all on the same page. Turns out we were!
On the day, things flowed amazingly smooth, the venue was wonderfully accommodating and the women that I worked with are all super friendly and talented.
I think the outcome speaks for itself ad I can't wait to see these images in print!

One thing that we've come to love and expect from Miss Fortune is a great Halloweeen themed range and shoot.
Miss Fortune is my longest running and favourite client. Her designs are inspired by Pin-up, rockabilly and psychobillly and worn by savvy shoppers and celebrities alike! Unlike many other brands of a similar style, all of Miss Fortune's clothing is manufactured in the UK to the highest quality. Laura prides herself on finding new and innovative ways to interpret the scene and make great fitting items. While there are beautiful dresses and items to make you feel like a million dollars at that special event, there are wardrobe staples like jumpers, cardigans and skirts so you can dress up every day.
I loved shooting this seasons designs, we trooped down to the graveyard and uncharacteristically the sun was shining. We always get some odd looks from passers-by and dog walkers!

Recently I had the great pleasure of a second photo shoot with the gorgeous little Flynn and his mum Charlotte.
It's amazing to see how much he's grown, he's such a little character! You can see the images from his first shoot in my gallery.

Mini Geek Boutique

There are many people now who claim to be geeks, but what about when you have a little geek of your own?
Tracy, the great mind behind Mini Geek Boutique, found that she couldn't fulfil the need for geek based clothing for her son Toby so she decided to stat up a business and make her own!
Tracy is inspired by Comics and films but also touches on the areas of computing, maths, role play and space. This means that not only are her clothing and gifts fun but also informative and educational. The best thing of it all is that most of her designs can be personalised because I'm sure the young padawans are going to be more excited about getting dressed in the morning if their jacket has their name on it!
Working with kids on photoshoots isn't easy, but Tracy was clear that she didn't want the photos to be "too posed". The idea was to let each little personality shine through. So, as you can imagine, there was lots of running, jumping and face pulling.
We all had a brilliantly fun day and the images show that.
Not only can you find Mini Geek Boutique online but you may see Tracy out and about at your local comic convention!
